New Time 69. End-time vision 44. The faith and hope, the dream and vision God gave us, God makes someone new, He puts it into action, while we are still in this world. 26. There was peace during Solomon’s reign, but he didn´t leave behind a good foundation for lasting peace. 17. The devastating abomination. 9. Replacement theology; replace God and exterminate people or preach the gospel to all nations? 6. The daughter of Zion is the bride of Jesus, and his glory will come upon her. The hope of God’s glory does not put us to shame. 2. Ezekiel saw God’s glory in Babylonia, but it leaves the temple in Jerusalem.

Picture: Ezekiel saw God’s glory in a vision at the Chebar River in Babylonia. There were four creatures with four faces, which he called cherubim. Next to the creature was wheels and the spirit of the creatures were in the wheels. They walked on the earth and the wheels went beside them. Are these only heavenly creatures or should the vision be understood symbolically, so that it tells us something about God’s control over the animal life on earth? I prefer it to be both.

The apostle John saw something similar in heaven, four different creatures that resembled a lion, an ox, an eagle, and a human. They were covered by eyes front and back and then they had four wings each.

Introduction

God has created all things and has a different kind of existence than the physical nature He has created, it is perishable, but He Himself is spirit and is eternal and omnipotent, He is in His eternal heaven and His kingdom is eternal. We are dust and cannot come to Him unless He comes to us. Yet he said to his people that if they sought him with all their hearts, they would find him. His arm was not too short to save them, but their sins separated them from Him.

But Jesus was the Lamb of God, who bore the worlds sin, he offered himself as a sin sacrifice who was slaughtered to atone for the world’s sin, that single sacrifice took away the world’s sin once and for all. On that basis, we are allowed to enter into fellowship with God again. Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah of God, who has sat down by God in heaven and his arms are still not too short to save.

We have no way of saving ourselves, salvation is a gift and we can only receive it as a gift God gives us from heaven. He loved the world so much that he sent his only Son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. To all who received him, he gave the right to become the children of God, born of the water of life and the Spirit of God, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Jesus is the bread of life who came down from heaven to give life to the world, the word he has spoken to us is spirit and life.

God reconciled the world to Himself before we knew it, then it was preached to us, giving us hope of God’s glory, and that hope does not put us to shame.

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

2 Cor.3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.

Replacement theology?

Replacement theology is that the Christian Church replaces Judaism, but it is a question of definition, because what is really Judaism and what is really the Christian Church. It is both Abraham’s faith, he believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. He promised him that in his ancestry all nations would be blessed, those who blessed him would be blessed, but those who cursed him would be cursed. This promise is fulfilled in Christ.

Abraham demonstrated his faith by showing that he was willing to sacrifice his Son, Isaac, to God, thus showing that he believed that God could raise him from the dead. But he got to sacrifice a lamb instead. This serves as a prophecy of God loving the world so much that He sent His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. To all who received him, he gave the right to become God’s children. God reconciled the world to himself, by letting his Son die on the cross, to atone for all the world’s sin. By believing that He rose from the dead, we become righteous before God and by acknowledging that He is Lord, we are saved. This good news will be preached to all nations.

I have written about this here: https://faith-and-entropy.com/2025/08/13/ny-tid-63-endetidssyn-38-trua-og-vona-draumen-og-visjonen-gud-gav-oss-gud-gjer-nokon-nytt-han-set-det-i-verk-medan-vi-framleis-er-i-denne-verda-20-det-var-fred-i-salomos-regjeringstid-men-han-2/

From David to Solomon.

David was a man after God’s heart, so God allows the prophet Samuel to annoint him as king over the people of Israel and it was a success, he became a great and powerful king. Nevertheless, he fell into sin when he committed adultery with Bathsheba and betrayed her husband, so that he fell in the war. The prophet Nathan rebuked him, so that he confessed his sin to God, humbled himself, and begged for mercy and forgiveness, so that he did not have to die for his sin. Nevertheless, he was punished, because there was strife in his house, the eldest son, Absalom, rebelled and wanted to take over the power, so he had to flee. David won the battle that followed, but Absalom was killed. Bathsheba became David’s wife and then he had a son Solomon with her, and it was he who should take over the kingship when the time came. In his old age, David was no longer with the army in battle, he got a beautiful young girl, Abisjag, as a maid, she was supposed to keep him warm with the night as well, but not as a whore, that is.

The second eldest son, Adonijah, tried to proclaim himself king, but then David had the prophet Nathan anoint Saalomo as king and Adonijah had to humble himself before Solomon. Later, Adonijah asked for Abisjag to be his wife, but Solomon understood it as an attempted coup and sent the commander to kill him (1 Kings 2).

Solomon was young when he took over a great kingdom, but he found peace on all sides, he was going to build the temple. God wanted to be his father and gave him great wisdom and made him rich, so that it was rumored about him all the way to Ethiopia. With this, especially with the temple, he was able to secure the kingdom for the heir and descendants.

Solomon praised God’s Messiah, in comparison with David.

Psalm 72:1 Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son.
2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
15 And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

But despite his great wisdom, he leaves behind a poor foundation for peace, the kingdom was divided, so his son was allowed to take power over less than half of the kingdom.

I have written about this here:

Ezekiel saw the glory of the Lord. He ate God’s Word and became a prophet.

Ezekiel was a priest and was a prophet around 592-570 BC and Jerusalem fell in 587 BC, when the temple and the wall around Jerusalem were demolished.

King Nebuchadnezzar of Babel conquered Jerusalem in 597 BC Jehoiachin was only 18 years old and had been king for only 3 months and he voluntarily surrendered and was taken away to Babylonia, so he followed the advice of the prophet Jeremiah. Five years later, in 592 BC, Ezekiel saw God’s glory in the Chaldeans.

The glory of the Lord.

Ezekiel.1: Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity,
3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.
4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.
15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

The four creatures (v.6) were similar and had four faces each. We meet the same faces again in Johns Revelation 4, but there each creature has one face, so the rest of the creatures are different as well. I think this tells us about how God rules over life on land. He created the birds on the fifth day and here they are represented by an eagle. He created humans and land animals on the sixth day and we can imagine that the lion represents the predators and the bull represents the deer. Man is the most high-ranking primate and represents them. The others are also high in relation to those they represent, the bull can be strong, he is tame, he can also be high in that way. Actually, there are many cervids that are either fitter or larger and stronger.

Remember that in the early days of Israel, they did not have a king, army or state administration, they only had the priesthood. They had a promise that with their godliness they would be blessed and have rain in their right. And when they returned to their country, after their exile, the prophets told them that they had to get started on building the temple because then the Lord would bless them. It was clearly a demonstration that he had power over nature. We do not fully understand this, but if we seek the Lord with all our hearts, we may experience something similar.

There wheels were covered with eyes, yes, the eye of God is going out over all the earths, to support the one who clings to him completely.

2.Kr 16:7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Eat God’s Word and become a prophet.

Ezekiel.2:1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
…………
7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

The Apostle John saw the glory of the Lord. He ate God’s Word and became a prophet.

The Lord Jesus revealed Himself to John.

John´s Revelation 1:12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

John saw the glory of the Lord.

John´s Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The Book of Seven Seals.

Daniel saw visions with prophecies about what was to come and he wished to know more, but it was sealed until the end times (Dan.12) and then John saw that God had a sealed book that no one was allowed to open except the Lamb of God.

John´s revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

The Lamb began to break one seal at a time, and so John received more and more visions and prophecies. When it broke the seventh seal, it becazme completely silent (John Opening.8) and then seven angels came with trumpets, they blew trumpets in turn and then John got new prophetic visions.

The little book that John was going to eat.

Before the seventh angel blew the trumpet, John was given a book to eat.

John´Revelation 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

It was not before John 11:15 that the seventh angel blew the trumpet. It is the last and seventh trumpets, and there are still ten chapters left of the book of Revelation. But according to Matthew 24:31 and 1. Chorint 15:52 Jesus would return when the last trumpet sounded, it would come suddenly and unexpectedly and we would be taken in an instant and be transformed. But the strange thing is that we do not really find this in the book of Revelation. The only thing that resembles it is that the two temple witnesses ascended into heaven, but this already happens in John Revelation 11, before the seventh angel blew the trumpet.

The glory of the Lord leaves the temple.

A year or so after Ezekiel saw the glory of the Lord at the Chebar River, God moved him to Jerusalem and lethim to see the glory of the Lord leaving the temple.

Ezekiel.8:1 In the sixth year, on the fifth day of the sixth month, it came to pass that the hand of the Lord came upon me while I was sitting in my house, and the elders among the Jews sat before me.  2 Then I saw a creature that resembled a man. Downwards from his hips he looked like fire, and from his hips upwards there was a kind of sheen, like shiny metal to look at.  3 He stretched out every hand that resembled a hand, and took hold of my hair. The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and in vision from God she took me to Jerusalem, to the gate in the north that leads into the inner temple court. There was an image of God that made God fiery angry.

4 And behold, there was the glory of the God of Israel, as I had seen him in the valley.

Ezekiel.9:1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side;
4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
8 And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?

Ezekiel.10:1 Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
2 And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
3 Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
4 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory.
5 And the sound of the cherubims’ wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
6 And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.
7 And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
8 And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man’s hand under their wings.
9 And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.
10 And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.
11 When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.
12 And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
13 As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.
14 And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15 And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.
16 And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.
17 When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
18 Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
19 And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’s house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
20 This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.
21 Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
22 And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.

Ezekiel 11:22 Then did the cherubims lift up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
23 And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
24 Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.
25 Then I spake unto them of the captivity all the things that the LORD had shewed me.

The man who was to scatter the fire in Jerusalem (vv. 2:6,7) speaks prophetically of the fire that Jesus came to spread over the earth, he wished that it had already started, but he had to be baptized with a baptism first.

Luke 12:49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

The mark on the forehead (Ezekiel 9:4) is the seal of the Holy Spirit.

John´s Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

John´s Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

2 Cor.1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
